THE police want your help to make sure local ASBO louts don’t breach their orders.
From today, everyone given an anti-social behaviour order in south Cumbria will have their mug shot put on the Evening Mail’s website as we work in partnership to stop these criminals re-offending.
The new ASBO watch will also have a full list of what the offender is banned from doing and where they are not allowed to go.
The list includes racist Anthony David Tucker, 47, of Grosvenor Street, Barrow, who is banned from approaching any Big Issue sellers after breaching his ASBO. He is also banned from entering Barrow Town Hall, Barrow Multi-Cultural Centre, Cavendish Street and or standing within five metres of the Labour Party Offices.
Homeless Desmond Patrick Bonner, 38, is banned from consuming alcohol or being drunk in a public place.
Neighbour from hell, 29-year-old Sarah Louise Bamber, of Warwick Street, Barrow, is not allowed to harass or upset her neighbours or be caught drunk on the streets.
Graham Colin Parker, 45, of Low White Close, Barrow, is banned from drinking in a public place, except pubs, begging and alarming or distress members of the public.
South Cumbria’s area commander Chief Superintendent Paul Kennedy has thrown his weight behind the campaign.
He said: “I fully support the idea of people knowing who is under an ASBO and the restrictions attached. ASBOs are there to protect the public and also to help prevent people from becoming more involved in the criminal justice system. I think that it’s important that people can see how the law is being used to make our communities safer.”
PC Pete Cargan is in charge of applying for ASBOs in south Cumbria.
He said: “We are fully supportive of this opportunity to publicise recipients of Anti-Social Behaviour Orders and the prohibitions that have been imposed by the courts.
“The public have a right to be able to identify these anti-social individuals and be able to report any future breaches.
“Members of the public are encouraged to report further anti-social acts by these individuals and can do so anonymously.”
