A former pupil of Waberthwaite Primary, the school is looking to create a slide in its playground as a lasting tribute to Ted, an idea thought of by his siblings and cousins.
On May 5, a number of charity events are taking place to raise funds for the slide, including a tractor run through the area.
The family and organisers said Mr Bounce's Crazy Castles had pledged their support at no cost, providing inflatables on the day to entertain participants and locals.
All money taken from the 'bouncers' will go directly to making Ted's slide a reality.
