ALL TRAINS on the Furness Line have been cancelled until next month.
Rail operator Northern said disruption to services on the Furness Line will be expected until April 8 after a train derailment near Grange.
The 5.18am service on Friday from Preston to Barrow came off the tracks due to a sinkhole near Grange station. The eight people on board - passengers and crew - were safely taken off the train.
Northern said the disruption of the services is expected until April 8 and that a 'very limited' replacement bus service is running.
A spokesperson for Northern said: "We strongly advise you to avoid travelling if you can. If you do choose to travel, expect severe disruption - alternative transport may not be available throughout the day."
