NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 south Cumbria establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
The following ratings have been given to six restaurants and cafes:
• Rated 5: Comida (Food) at 90 Highgate, Kendal; rated on February 23
• Rated 5: Sandpipers at 33 The Promenade, Arnside; rated on February 23
• Rated 5: AKHI at 100 Main Street, Grange Over Sands; rated on February 22
• Rated 5: Barista Brothers & Gelato on the Side at Beech House, Main Street, Grange Over Sands; rated on February 22
• Rated 5: Fell Foot Country Park & Cafe at Fell Foot Park, Newby Bridge, Ulverston; rated on February 18
• Rated 5: The Samling at Dove Nest The Samling, The Samling, Windermere; rated on February 1
And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: The Crown Inn, Coniston at Crown Inn, Coniston, Cumbria; rated on February 21
• Rated 5: The Shakespeare Inn at 78 Highgate, Kendal; rated on February 19
• Rated 5: Netherfield Cricket Club at Netherfield Sports And Social, Parkside Road, Kendal; rated on January 30
Plus one rating for a takeaway:
• Rated 5: Chilli Red at 6 Post Office Buildings, Main Street, Grange Over Sands; rated on February 22
